Yoga Escapes: GDPR Data Audit
Yoga Escapes organise and host luxury yoga holidays in Italy, Greece, Spain, Morocco and Egypt; for guests from across the world. Laura is the owner and when GDPR hit in May 2018 she was busy with the main yoga holiday season.
Laura needed support to ensure that she was GDPR compliant but didn’t have time to work on the data audit needed for this.
After our initial consultation we discussed the process I would follow to review the data that she held, produce a full audit of this data and make suggestions as to what changes would be required in order for her to fully GDPR compliant. I also put her in contact with our GDPR legal partners Koffeeklatch so that she could ensure she had the correct policies in place once the audit process was completed.
Our work together consisted of the following:
- Initial planning call – so that I could fully understand the customer journey and systems used by Yoga Escapes
- Audit process – I pulled together all the information from the planning call, checked the compliance of the systems used and produced recommendations of things that needed to be amended
- Working with Koffeeklatch to ensure that compliant privacy, retention and cookies policies were in place
- Producing a list of actions for Laura once I had completed the audit process
Laura was confident after 3 months working with me that her company was GDPR compliant and said the following about our work together:
“I have been working with Sarah to make sure that my small company is GDPR compliant, and I can honestly say that I couldn’t have done it without her! She was extremely helpful, professional, detailed, always available, and very knowledgeable. Working through all the GDPR requirements on my own was a bit overwhelming, Sarah on the other hand made everything very clear to understand. I needed someone to take the reins and walk me through everything I needed to do for GDPR, and Sarah did just that – she is amazing! I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for GDPR help.”
