About Sarah Banks
Hello, I’m Sarah.
I’m a tech and systems specialist and for the last twelve years I’ve worked almost exclusively with women in coaching, therapy, and wellbeing who are brilliant at what they do but want the backend of their business to actually work.
I will help you get the right foundations in place: a website that actually feels like you, an email list that works, a booking system that stops the back-and-forth, and online programmes that move from idea to reality. I handle the tech so you can stay focused on the work that only you can do.
However, just as important to me is this: when we’re done, you need to understand what I’ve built for you and feel confident managing it yourself. Every project includes training videos so you’re never dependent on me – or anyone else to run your own business. My goal is to hand you back something that genuinely belongs to you.
My story (the honest version)
When I started my business in 2014, I copied a list of services from another VA’s website because I genuinely didn’t know what else to offer. I was working part-time around a toddler, unsure whether anyone would take me seriously, and pricing myself at what I thought people would pay rather than what I was worth.
That was my starting point but over the years I have evolved.
I’ve learnt to use more than thirty platforms – not from courses, but from real life experience, because a client needed something and I figured it out. That’s a different kind of expertise from a certification. I’ve won awards, appeared on podcasts and in magazines, travelled Eastern Europe for two months while running client projects, and built a business that genuinely works around my life.
It hasn’t been a straight line. There have been personal challenges, seasons of doubt, and plenty of prices set too low for too long. I kept going anyway. And everything I’ve learned from that informs every conversation I have with a client now.
How I work — and why it feels different
I don’t arrive with a blueprint. Every client gets something built around their business, their goals, and the way they actually work.
I’m a Generator by Human Design – which means I build mastery through sustained, responsive engagement rather than following a rigid plan. In practice, it means I go deep. I get to know your business properly. I respond to what you actually need rather than what a standard package says you should have.
When we first speak, I listen to everything you tell me and the things you don’t quite say. That’s usually where the real picture lies. From there, we work out a plan together, test what’s working, and refine as we go. I won’t push you towards tools you don’t need. I won’t complicate things unnecessarily. And I’ll always be honest with you about what’s realistic, what’s worth investing in, and what can wait.
My methodology is simple: Listen. Review. Adapt. Implement. Empower.
The last step matters as much as any of the rest.
My values underpin everything
Every client I work with and every project I take on sits inside my core values: intuition, integrity, authenticity, simplicity, kindness, and adventure.
I run my business by gut instinct as much as by logic. I’ve learned to trust that and I notice the women I work with best tend to operate the same way. If you make decisions that feel right before they make sense on paper, we’ll likely work well together.
I won’t create dependency – that’s the opposite of good support. I’ll be straightforward about what you need and what you don’t. I’ll work at a pace that suits you. And I’ll bring the same care to your business that I bring to my own.
I work Monday to Thursday, around my family, with boundaries I’m not afraid to hold. I encourage you to have the same. None of us went into business to work ourselves into the ground.
She is the fairy godmother you didn’t know you believed in, wished for, or needed. With an unwavering work ethic and loyalty, Sarah is a truly magnificent person to have on your team. She has pushed me, held me accountable, had my back, and is always streets ahead — thinking, planning, organising, and doing whatever else magicians do. I cannot recommend her highly enough — so much so that part of me doesn’t want to say how fantastic she is, in case your workload competes with mine! When you recognise something extraordinary, you simply have to share it. Thank you, Sarah!
Who I am outside of work
I am an open water swimmer – yes that does mean I throw myself into lakes and rivers whatever the weather and even have had to break the ice on my cold tub during winter!
I also practise yoga, have crystals around my house, and have a growing interest in different spiritual practices. Alongside this, I take a natural approach to my health and use homeopathy as part of this. This is an important part of life for me and why I understand the world my clients are building businesses in.
I regularly read over 60 books a year, fiction and non-fiction, and when I’m not working or reading, you will find me in the Derbyshire countryside or in my second home of Aberdaron in North Wales (off grid of course!).
I have two daughters and a husband, and I live on the edge of the Peak District, which I’m grateful for every day.
Building a business that fits my life, values, and what matters most to me is really important and I love working with women who want to do the same.
