I started my business – Banks’ Business Solutions, back in 2014 to achieve a better work/life balance. Having started from the ground up and made many mistakes along the way, I’m now in the position to be able to help you avoid the pitfalls of running an online business, or simply how to save time when implementing new software and processes.

I began my journey as a virtual assistant here in Derby so I could work from home while using my previous career experiences and training to support other business owners. Over the past 10 years I’ve become an accredited VA, built a strong reputation being reliable and good at what I do and grown my business from being me working alone to having a team of associates behind me.

From Virtual Assistant to Online Business Consultant

When I started Banks’ Business Solutions in 2014, the term virtual assistant was relatively unknown in the UK. Over the past 8 years I’ve spent working within the VA industry, I’ve realised that it has become a bit of a “catch all” term for anyone working virtually from home to assist someone else with a task, but that most virtual assistants provide administration services.

I’ve realised that the term “virtual assistant” doesn’t fit me anymore.

I still work virtually but I provide consulting services to my clients first and foremost, and then I can train you how to take care of things yourself or take on some of the online business tasks for you. That’s why you’ll find me creating WordPress websites, creating sales funnels, building online courses and email subscriber lists, and providing 1-2-1 training on popular software like Canva, MailChimp, Mailerlite, Acuity, Kajabi, WordPress and InfusionSoft.

Meet My Lovely Associates

Zita Lewis

Zita has been in administration for over 20 years.  She has worked in a variety of sectors from local government to library software to charities and life coaches.  She brings a wealth of knowledge including basic WordPress, MailChimp, Social Media content writing along with more traditional duties such as diary/email management and copy writing.  As well as being an associate she also runs her own business Zita Lewis – Helping You – Helping Your Business

Claire Saxton

Claire is a marketing consultant with over 10 years marketing experience. She’s ambitious, friendly, outgoing and full of marketing and business knowledge! Her main areas of work are Social Media management and planning, marketing planning and advice and proofreading. She has worked on various different projects in many different sectors. Claire loves to take on new challenges and deliver great results for clients.

Claire owns Saxton Marketing in Derbyshire and works effectively whilst also being a mummy to Chloe and William – Claire works flexibly around her children everyday including weekends to ensure client deadlines and requirements are met but still spends quality time with her family. She has worked with Banks’ Business Solutions for over 2 years and has a fantastic relationship with Sarah and together they’ve delivered great results for clients. Claire is very excited to be part of the growing team!

Zoe Hughes

Zoe is an SEO consultant based in Derby that specialises in helping business owners get their website noticed for the right reasons in a crowded marketplace. Initially finding her feet as an SEO copywriter, Zoe now uses a content-based approach to search engine optimisation combined with technical SEO and off-page optimisation tactics that has websites climbing up those search rankings.
